Senior officials of Huawei, JP Morgan Chase International and Pine Island Capital Partners to speak at 2020 Gaidar Forum at RANEPA
On January 15-16, 2020, RANEPA will host the 11th Gaidar Forum with a number of prominent foreign speakers attending. Experts of the upcoming forum will include Chairman of JP Morgan Chase International Jacob Frenkel, Vice President of Huawei Technologies Edwin Diender, and Co-founder of Pine Island Capital Partners Clyde Tuggle.
Jacob Frenkel is Chairman of J.P.Morgan Chase International and Professor of Tel Aviv University. He was the Governor of the Bank of Israel in 1991-2000; Professor at the University of Chicago in 1973-1987; Economic Counselor and Director of Research at the International Monetary Fund (Washington) in 1987-1991. From 2000 to 2004, he served as Chairman of Merrill Lynch International, one of the largest real estate investment firms in the world, as well as Chairman of Merrill Lynch’s Sovereign Advisory Global Financial Institutions Groups. He has served as Vice Chairman of the Board of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, was a member of the Group of Thirty (G30) composed of the major global economists, as well as a member of the group of economic advisers to G7 – a group of seven leading developed countries of the world. He has worked as an economic consultant to the government of Argentina. Dr. Frenkel is a member of a number of Israeli and international economic research organizations and editorial boards of many major periodicals on economic matters. He is the author of 18 books and 300 articles in the field of International Economics and Macro-Economics. He is also a Foreign Honorary Member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, a recipient of several Honorary Doctoral Degrees and other decorations and awards in Argentina, the Czech Republic, Italy, as well as the 2002 Israeli Prize in Economics.
Edwin Diender is Vice President, Government & Public Utility sector, Global Industry Solutions Department at Huawei Technologies who is responsible for the company’s innovation strategy. He developed and launched Secure Converged Communications in Europe in 2005. At the end of 2011, Edwin Diender joined the Huawei team to help establish the Industry Solution Sales practice for Western Europe. In 2015, Mr. Diender was appointed CTO in the UC&C Marketing and Solution Sales department in Huawei Headquarters, in Shenzhen. In his current position, Mr. Diender focuses on bringing to market concepts and solutions for Smart City/Safe City and eGovernment, including Collaboration-enabled Business Process (CEBP), Big (Video) Data Analytics, and the Economics of Smart Cities.
Clyde Tuggle is a co-founder of Pine Island Capital Partners, and was Senior Vice President and Chief Public Affairs and Communications Officer of The Coca-Cola Company from 2008 until 2017; he has worked for the one of the largest multi-national corporations for more than 30 years. Сlyde Tuggle was elected to the board of directors of the American Chamber of Commerce in Russia in 2006. Previously, he was a member of the Executive Committee of The Coca-Cola Company. Clyde Tuggle is currently a member of the Board of Directors at Georgia Power Co and Oxford Industries, Inc.
