RANEPA signs agreements with leading French business schools, SKEMA and NEOMA

The Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA) has signed agreements on double degree programs with two leading French business schools, SKEMA and NEOMA, as part of the Ninth Gaidar Forum at RANEPA.

The agreements were signed by RANEPA Rector Vladimir Mau, Patrice Houdayer, vice dean of France's SKEMA Business School, and Deputy Director General of NEOMA BS Celine Davesne. This is a landmark project of Russian-French cooperation in education.

The partnership between the NEOMA business schools and RANEPA Institute of Business Studies (IBS) will give students in both countries an opportunity of taking a trilingual undergraduate program (four years) and award graduates two degrees, from RANEPA and from NEOMA BS. This French business school was established in 2013 through the merger of the Rouen Business School and the Reims School of Management. It now serves 8,000 students; NEOMA campuses are located in Reims, Rouen and Paris.

The agreement on the Doing Business In double degree program with the SKEMA business school offers a unique opportunity for Master’s students to gain knowledge and skills in doing business between the two countries. A student can choose the countries to study from Russia, France, China, USA, and Brazil. The SKEMA business school was established in 2009 through the merger of the Lille School of Management and the CERAM business school. There are 7,500 students, and campuses are located in Paris, France; Sizhou, China, Raleigh, USA and Belo Horizonte, Brazil.

RANEPA INS will be implementing both programs on the Russian side; the school has been successfully working in the business education market for 30 years, and is currently involved in 71 student exchange programs and 16 double degree programs. The Academy cooperates with partner universities around the world, many of them with Triple Crown Accreditation.

The Russian-French University was established in 2016; RANEPA was among the founders, as well as NEOMA, SKEMA, and other universities. The consortium promotes academic mobility of students and develops joint scientific research. The RFU was established  by a decision of the 21st session of the Russian-French Economic, Financial, Industrial and Trade Council (CEFIC) on January 25, 2016; RANEPA Rector Vladimir Mau was elected RFU President.

The Presidents of Russia and France, Vladimir Putin and Emmanuel Macron, adopted the decision to launch the Trianon Dialogue civil society forum, a new platform for bilateral interaction, at their meeting in Versailles on May 29, 2017.  The 2018 Gaidar Forum, hosted by RANEPA from January 16 to 18, included two expert discussions on the Trianon Dialogue. The participants discussed the the city of the future (the main dialogue theme for 2018) and the educational cooperation between our countries – the first activities of the Trianon Dialogue platform.

The organizers include the Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA), the Gaidar Institute for Economic Policy (Gaidar Institute) and the Association of Innovative Regions of Russia (AIRR).
