International experts will discuss business education at the Gaidar Forum at RANEPA
Business and management education is one of the keys to success in the modern world. That is why international experts will focus on new trends in its development at the 11th Gaidar Forum at RANEPA on January 15-16, 2020. The speakers will include heads of two leading business school accrediting associations, members of the so-called Triple Crown, (AACSB International, AMBA International, and EFMD) – Timothy Mescon and Andrew Main Wilson. Director of the IAE de Paris – Sorbonne Business School, Professor Eric Lamarque, will speak at the forum for the first time.
Timothy Mescon is AACSB International Executive Vice President and Chief Officer for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, and member of RANEPA International Advisory Council. AACSB International is the world’s oldest accrediting association and will turn 102 this year. AACSB International accreditation is considered the most challenging and most prestigious in the world and is synonymous with the highest standards of excellence. Only one business school in Russia has this accreditation today – RANEPA Institute of Business Studies (IBS). Mr. Mescon is President Emeritus of Columbus State University (Georgia), where he served from 2008 to 2014. Previously, he served for 18 years as dean and Dinos Eminent Scholar Chair at the Michael J. Coles College of Business at Kennesaw State University in Georgia. He also worked at Arizona State University and University of Miami. He is the author of more than 200 articles and case studies, and has coauthored four books. He is the winner of the Presidential Volunteer Service Award from the US President's Council on Service and Civic Participation and the National Award from the US Small Business Administration.
Andrew Main Wilson is Chief Executive of AMBA International & BGA, member of RANEPA International Advisory Board. AMBA International is the leading international accrediting association for MBA programs and other master's programs. In Russia, this accreditation has been awarded to MBA programs from 12 business schools and departments, of which five are part of RANEPA. Prior to joining AMBA, he was Chief Operating Officer at the Institute of Directors (IoD), one of the world’s most respected membership and management education organizations for business leaders. He was formerly the Marketing Director and Commercial Director of Thomas Cook, and Sales and Marketing Director of Citibank Diners Club. Mr. Wilson has a strong research interest in Global Leadership excellence. As an interviewer and presenter, he has interviewed over 100 of the world’s most influential Leaders, including Bill Gates, Margaret Thatcher, HRH the Duke of Edinburgh, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Jack Welch and Sir Richard Branson.
Dr. Eric Lamarque is Full Professor and Director at Sorbonne Graduate Business School in Paris (IAE de Paris – Sorbonne Business School, Paris 1 Pantheon Sorbonne). He is the author and contributors to five books and many publications on bank management, financial management and corporate governance. He has extensive practical experience in banking, advising banks and financial institutions in France, North America and Africa around transformation projects and Post Merger integration. Dr. Lamarque is a board member of a cooperative regional bank of 2800 employees and a total balance sheet of 25 billion euros. Professor Lamarque heads IAE France – University Schools of Management association, which in October 2019 signed an agreement with the Russian Association for Business Education (RABE) to intensify cooperation between business schools in Russia and France.
