LEADING COMPANIES AND UNIVERSITIES: GOALS AND TECHNOLOGICAL BREAKTHROUGH FORMULAS
The Government of the Russian Federation actively supports measures to involve Russian universities in innovation activities. According to federal statistics, the budgets of universities today have just about 12% of revenues from companies and organizations. Out of these, according to the most optimistic expert estimates, not more than 1/3 (i.e. about 3-4%) are funds of businesses interested in the development of advanced technologies. What steps should be taken to change the restraint of Russian business towards higher education institutions? How to make modern universities perceived by global companies as a source of access to talents, promising skills and new technologies?
