Heads of world's leading business schools will take part in 2018 Gaidar Forum at RANEPA
Jean-François Manzoni, Olivier Auger and Xiang Bin, heads of the world's leading business schools, will attend the annual Gaidar forum, which will be held on January 16-18, 2018 at the Presidential Academy.
Since 2010, Gaidar Forum brings together experts, leading international academics and politicians, representatives of financial and business elite. This year’s main discussion topic is Russia and the World: Values and Virtues.
President of the IMD Business School Jean-Francois Manzoni heads leadership development programs for best global companies for more than 25 years in 30 countries. His research, teaching, and consulting activities are focused on leadership, the development of high-performance organizations and corporate governance.
Fr om 2004 to 2010, he served as Professor of Leadership and Organizational Development and directed, among other programs, IMD’s Breakthrough Program for Senior Executives. Earlier, he spent 12 years He had earlier spent twelve years on the faculty of INSEAD (Fontainebleau), where he founded and directed the PwC Research Initiative on High Performance Organizations. Between January 2011 and September 2013 he also directed the Global Leadership Centre supporting INSEAD’s leadership-related coaching, teaching and research activities throughout the world. Professor Manzoni received his Doctorate from Harvard Business School. He had earlier graduated from l’Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales de Montreal and worked with Ernst and Young in Montreal before receiving an MBA from McGill University.
Olivier Oger became dean of the EDHEC business school in 1988, and since then he has been the driving force behind the school’s exceptional development. At the end of the 1980s, the school served 350 students; now their number has grown to 6,000. Ten thousand managers annually take advantage of EDHEC Executive Education courses offered around the world. Under the leadership of Mr. Oger, EDHEC opened campuses in Nice, Paris, London and Singapore. In 2003, the EDHEC business school was one of the first to receive international triple crown accreditation- AACSB, EQUIS, and AMBA.
Olivier Auger presented an innovative strategy aimed at stimulating a school’s longterm ambitions, influencing the business and gain recognition for the relevance of its academic programs and studies both for business and society. The expert also develops business schools at the international level. Olivier Oger has a member of the EQUIS Accreditation Committee for seven years and conducted more than 30 EQUIS and AACSB examinations at the world’s best universities.
Xiang Bing is the Founding Dean and Professor of China Business and Globalization at Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business (CKGSB), China’s first privately-funded and faculty-governed business school with headquarters in Beijing, teaching sites in Shanghai and Shenzhen and representative offices in Hong Kong, London and New York. Mr. Bing is one of the seven founding faculty members of China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) in Shanghai. Dr. Xiang has played an important role in developing and innovating China’s management education sector. Prior to joining CKGSB, Dr. Xiang was Professor of Accounting at Peking University’s Guanghua School of Management, wh ere he pioneered the school’s Executive MBA program. Previously, Dr. Xiang served on the faculty of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. He is also a member of boards of trustees for United Way Worldwide (US) and Asia House (UK), as well as a member of International Advisory Council of Fundação Dom Cabral (FDC) and a Counselor for One Young World Summit in Dublin. He has been an independent board member of a number of companies listed in Hong Kong, mainland China and the US.
