Gaidar Forum experts will discuss education in the future
Experts in business, finance and education will take part in Gaidar Forum sessions devoted to education and scientific research issues: Trends in Education: Challenges, Expectations, Reality; Companies-Leaders and Universities: Goals and Technological Breakthrough Recipes; and Forecasting the Future of Education.
The participants in the open dialogue Trends in Education: Challenges, Expectations, Reality, will try to identify the main trends in the development of education in the modern world and figure out if Russian education is in the global trend. They will discuss economic and educational reforms and whether there is consensus in Russian society on the reforms it needs. Experts will discuss the future of universities, their prospects for the next 10-15 years and other issues.
Sergey Zuyev, Rector of the Moscow School of Social and Economic Sciences, Director of RANEPA School of Public Policy will moderate the dialogue. Rector of the Higher School of Economics Yaroslav Kuzminov will take part in the discussion, along with Russian Foreign Trade Academy Rector Sergei Sinelnikov-Murylev; Director of the Federal Institute of Education Development Alexander Asmolov; and Tatyana Klyachko, Director of the RANEPA Centre of Continuous Education Economics.
During the panel discussion, Companies-Leaders and Universities: Goals and Technological Breakthrough Recipes, experts discuss the modern transformation paradigm in interaction between universities and business: international experience and Russian practice. They will ty to identify the tools needed to create to create innovation system in universities; decide how companies can help universities to form a new technological paradigm; and answer a number of other questions.
Scientific Director of the Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO Andrei Volkov will moderate the discussion. The participants will include Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich; General Director, Chairman of the Management Board of RVC Alexander Povalko; Chairman of the Board of Directors of Renova Group Viktor Vekselberg; President of the Russian Academy of Sciences Alexander Sergeyev; Chairman of the Board of Directors of TMK Dmitry Pumpyansky; General Director of Yandex LLC Yelena Bunina; and Managing Director, Head of the Center for Technological Innovations at Sberbank Yekaterina Frolovicheva.
During the open dialogue, Forecasting the Future of Education, foreign experts from various spheres of business and education will identify the blindspots in the way we educate future leaders; voice radical proposals and provocative ideas for changing the way we think of education; imagine what the education industry will look like in 2030; and consider the underrated skills that will become more essential in the future.
Sam Potolicchio, Director of Global Education at Georgetown University (McCourt), RANEPA Professor and President of PGLF, will moderate the dialogue.
