Gaidar Forum experts discuss challenges of educational programs training leaders for the digital world

On January 13, representatives of business, science and education participated in the panel discussion, The Transformation of Educational Programs for Training of Personnel (Leaders) of the Digital World: Prospects and Challenges, as part of the Gaidar Forum 2017. The participants unanimously agreed that the current model of education must be changed, as it fails to keep pace with the digital changes in knowledge, economy and markets.

“Admittedly, we do not know what will happen in the future: which profession or competence will be in demand a few years from now, and how they can be acquired,” said honorary president of the National Association of Business Angels (NABA) Konstantin Fokin. “There are federal educational standards, which suggest that we know exactly how many, and what kind of jobs we will need in a few years. It is an illusion, self-deception. After some time, it will result in a gap in the economy.”
