Since 1998 he has been working at McKinsey. He leads the EMEA (Europe, the CIS, Middle East and Africa) Metals & Mining Practice. He is one of the leaders of McKinsey’s Global Energy and Materials practice. He is a member of the global Travel, Transport & Logistics practice. He is actively involved in McKinsey’s international projects to develop new approaches to operations improvements for companies in the resource industries.
He has extensive experience of project work for companies in the metals, oil & gas, aircraft manufacturing and transport sectors, with a focus on developing strategy, improving operational performance and sales, and transforming organizational structures and management systems.
He is an active contributor to urban and regional infrastructure development projects.
Before joining McKinsey, he spent several years working in China and Taiwan and, later, at the World Bank in Washington DC.
He graduated from the Princeton University (International Relations, Master’s Degree), Harvard University (East Asian studies, Bachelor’s Degree).
