Biography

Currently, Mr. Malakhov is Director, Center for Theoretical and Applied Politology, Faculty of Public Administration, RANEPA, professor of the Moscow School of Social and Economic Sciences, and Leading Research Fellow of the Institute of Philosophy of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

From 2009 to 2013, he was Director of the Center for the Study of Citizenship and Identity at the Institute of Philosophy of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
In 2006-2007, he was Director of the Political Science Program, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Sociology and Political Science of the Moscow School of Social and Economic Sciences.
In 2005-2006, he worked as Dean of the Faculty of Political Science of the Moscow School of Social and Economic Sciences.
From 1994-2004, Mr. Malakhov was Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of Philosophy of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
In 1988, he started his career at the Institute of Philosophy of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

He held following courses: nationalism as a political ideology; state in the context of globalization; multiculturalism: discourse and practice; study of nationalism in historical perspective; management of diversity; organization of public space in the cultural heterogeneity. Also lectures in English as part of program with Stanford University.
