Since 2011 till present - CEO, the Russian Direct Investment Fund.
He headed major private equity funds and conducted a number of deals iconic for Russia: the sale of Delta Bank to GE, of Delta Credit to Societe Generale, of shares of STS Media to Fidelity Investments, etc.
He started his career at Goldman Sachs and McKinsey & Company.
He is Deputy Chairman, the Investment Council under the Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation; and Vice President, the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP). The Russian President appointed him a member of BRICS and APEC business councils, he is listed among Young Global Leaders by the World Economic Forum and is a member of the Boards of Directors of Rostelecom, Gazprombank, Mother and Child, Prominvestbank, and of the Boards of Trustees of the Mariinsky Theatre and the Lomonosov Moscow State University.
In 2011, he was the only representative of Russia in the 100 most influential private equity professionals of the decade (Private Equity International).
He has a Bachelor's degree in economics with high distinction from the University of Stanford and MBA with high distinction (Baker Scholar) from the Harvard Business School.
