Alexander Vasilyevich Murychev serves as Executive Vice President of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs and as Chairman of the Council of the Association of Regional Banks of Russia. He is Doctor of Economics and has a degree in history. Mr. Murychev also serves as Professor of the State University – Higher School of Economics.
Mr. Murychev chairs the International Coordinating Council of Banking Associations (CIS, Central & Eastern Europe), the Expert Council of the Brussels International Banking Club. He is a member of the Central Bank Chairman Advisory Board, a member of the RSPP Board, a Co-Chairman of the RSPP Banking Commission, the Chairman of the Banking Public Awards Council, member of the Russian Audit Chamber Chairman’s Expert & Advisory Council, member of the Deposit Insurance Agency Expert & Analytics Council, member of the National Economic Council, Board Chairman of the Free Economy Society, Chairman of the Council of the Auditors’ Chamber of Russia, Russia’s Financial Economists’ Guild, a board member of a number of other commercial banks. Mr. Murychev is a member of the Russian President’s Council for the Handicapped, of the ‘Kids in Trouble’ Guardianship Fund. Mr. Murychev also serves as a member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, the Russian Business & Entrepreneurship Academy, the International Management Academy, the International Academy for Economics, Finance & Law (IAEFL). He also chairs the Supervisory Board of the Banks and Business World journal.
Mr. Murychev is the author of over 200 articles and 5 books on banking, monetary and investment-related issues.
He is a holder of government and many public awards.
